Comments and Suggestions

Comments

The objective of this blog is to provide a place of both information and discussion. Whilst I aim to encourage as much free speech as possible, there are some restrictions.
I will not tolerate comments that are abusive or contain swearing. [I decide what is swearing]. The thinking behind this is that anyone should be free to disagree or agree with whatever view they choose, and to be able to express that opinion. Abusive posts often serve to intimidate those who might post their opinions, thus in order to maintain truly free speech, restrictions must be in place to prevent users from attempting to undermine other’s rights to said free speech.
Any posts that are personally abusive to other users or to myself will be removed. Any posts that are not abusive, that make a valid point but contains swearing will be removed, and the user may be asked to re-word the comment in order for their view to be heard.

Links to other blogs are permitted.

If a comment is asking me a question, I will try to reply to it within that comment thread, however be advised that if there is a high volume of such comments, or if I am particularly busy, then that could take some time.

Suggestions

I welcome people’s input and ideas… After all, it’s potentially another post. If there is an issue you wish me to discuss, or an item/service/place you wish me to review, Please post it to the bottom of this page and I will try to write on it. Please do not be offended if I am unable to write on all suggestions entered, and if suggesting a product or service, please ensure that it is available in the UK, since that’s where I’m based.

Important Stuff

Importantly, this is no place for Political Correctness. This applies to authors, readers and commentators. This blog is a place for free discussion and expression of opinion, PC censorship will not be found here. I will do my utmost to be forthright (but polite) with my views, I expect no less from those commenting.

The majority of the content of this blog is opinion and view based. Whilst there are some things discussed here that I am very set in, and are non-negotiable, on most issues I am open to the concept of changing my mind having seen a new piece of evidence or factoring in an overlooked set of circumstances. Most of what I write here is not a firm catechism, but written in the attitude of “this is what I belive to be the case… for now.” I enjoy listening to other people’s arguments and views on a subject, but I also reserve the right to accept/reject those arguments as I see fit in shaping my own views.
My Political & Ethical views are still very much in formation, and will be until the day I die.

Finally… everyone has an opinion! Even if you haven’t thought about or articulated yours yet… why not do that today on topics discussed and settle into an idea something that was before only an echo in the mind.
